College of Charleston Financial Aid?

I'm out of state, and I really want to go to the College of Charleston. I was accepted, but now I'm afraid that I won't get enough financial aid -- loans, if anything. I've heard that their financial aid packages are miniscule, and that only 38%ish even get financial aid. I basically calculated that I need at least $12,000ish a year to be able to afford CofC. If I probably won't get any merit-based scholarships, does anyone know what the most CofC might offer a financially needy student like me is?
